Managing Stress, Building Self-Esteem, and Staying Positive

at Home, and Work  
 
Program Overview 
 
Phone calls, meetings, projects, files, too much to do. Stop! Check in for a day of “attitude enlightment," a complete onsite training program for better stress management, self-esteem, and techniques for staying positive at work. Information is presented in a humorous and relaxed style. Hands-on activities are used to reinforce learning points. 
 
Program Objectives 
 
At this program's conclusion, participants should be able to:
 

  • Understand the study of stress and its impact.
  • List tactics for successful time management.
  • Explain how to prioritize and determine what is really important.
  • Demonstrate techniques for interacting with difficult people.
  • Employ physical and mental techniques for coping with stress.
  • Create reachable goals.
  • Begin implementing goals created during the session.
  • The following outline highlights some of the course’s key learning points. As part of your training program, we will modify content as needed to meet your business objectives.  
 

Course Outline 

Women - This session covers self. How you show the world who you think you are. From Self-esteem to self-sabotage 

  • Acting out - Passive?   Aggressive?     Assertive?     Passive-Aggressive?
  • I can't....This always happens to me...."
  • Many self-sabotaging behaviors are the result of negative thoughts and poor choices.
  • This lesson is designed to help participants develop new habits after becoming aware of the various ways that they might be sabotaging their success and adding to stress.
 
 

Wellness – You can’t take care of anybody else if you don’t take care of yourself. 

  • Stress - You need this? (Yes, you do!)
  • Relaxation – What does it mean?
  • Nutrition or Diet – Are your feeding your body or your emotions?
  • Exercise – Putting  a plan together

Work – Take the BIG “S” off your chest - Superwoman doesn’t exist 

  • Getting Control – learning to delegate
  • Who’s watching the kids? Washing the clothes? Doing the dishes? Walking the dog?
  • Time management – Is there such a thing?
  • Learning to Speak
  • The difference between ‘Yes!” and “yes.”
  • Learning to say – The “N” word! (NO!!!)
  • Learning to listen
 
After a day of attitude enlightment, participants will understand why stress happens to them and how they can reduce it, renew themselves, and take on the challenges of life, home and work.
